• 2-1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tspn baking soda
  • 1/2 tspn salt
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tspn vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans(optional)

Preheat your oven to 375 °F. Stir flour with baking soda and salt; set it aside. Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar with a hand mixer at medium speed until creamy. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated.

Gradually mix the dry mixture into the creamed mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips and the nuts(if desired). Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9 – 11 minutes or until golden brown.
